BIRDS OF MICHIGAN
Michigan is located in the heart of the Great Lakes region, and as such, it touches four of the five Great Lakes; Michigan, Superior, Huron and Erie. That gives us the largest freshwater shoreline in the world. Our Eastern and Western shorelines create great migration paths for all birds in both the spring and the fall. The Cornell links illustrates just how lucky we are to get such a large number of migratory birds … Cornell Labs® documented the migration path of just 118 species, and as you can see, the central flyway covers Michigan as of a major migratory path for all the 450 species that we enjoy, watch and observe in our great State. I will be featuring as many of the 450 species as I can, however, this site is not intended to see how many I actually capture, but more to simply share these beautiful bird images with you. I will feature them in their natural habitat and environment whether that be a shoreline, forest, meadow, on the wing, or in the backyard, they will all be wild and free. Their songs, their colors and their behavior are truly entertaining wherever you encounter them. The real challenge is capturing them on film. Thanks for stopping by my website … I hope that you have enjoyed your visit, and hope you return real soon. In the meantime, I invite you to follow me on Instagram.
